Hope you had a great weekend.
So over the weekend I carried on reading Life After Life by Kate Atkinson which is a surprisingly long book but I was caught up by the hand of impatience again and picked up another book to read alongside it. I am really enjoying A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks and Life After Life by Kate Atkinson. They are both very different books, set in different times, with a range of characters and plots.
On Saturday I posted my review of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman so be sure to check it out. I really enjoyed that book and it was nice to read something different, set aside from the recurring themes of love and romance that dominate the book world today. Being set in a graveyard it was another new aspect to reading and a chance to explore a place otherwise known as spooky and unfriendly as someone’s home. I would definitely recommend it!
The reading plan for this week is to finish A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks and Life after Life by Kate Atkinson so I can start the weekend with something new. I have no idea what I will be picking up next as I keep looking at my to-be-read pile and wondering if I want something dystopian, classic or something with a pinch of romance. Any recommendations are greatly welcome.
Have a great week!
