Weekend Reads #8

Happy Weekend Everyone,

This week has been unusually and unexpectedly busy for me but in a good way. I managed to pick up my books a few times this week when I had the chance and immediately I was hooked.

Legend by Marie Lu is such an amazing book and I will be posting a review of it tomorrow. I also need to get a hold of the second and third book in the series because I want to see how the plot is resolved. I will also try to get a review up next week of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon which is an intriguing look at the world through the eyes of a teenage boy with autism.

Over the weekend I want to read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, the second instalment in The Hunger Games trilogy. I know I have posted about this book so many times but I just have not had the chance to read it yet. The movie has been all over the TV too and I have had to stop myself from buying the DVD when doing the grocery shopping. I haven’t even seen the first one yet and I am determined to read the second book before watching any of the movies.

Over the past two weeks I managed to buy two more of Lindsey Kelk’s books on my kindle for the bargain price of 99p. I have loved this author’s style of writing and her humorous portrayal of the female mind ever since I read I Heart New York. It is one book that I would definitely recommend to anyone that loves chick lit. Maybe you’ll have a review of one of those books to look forward to next week too.

So with a few reviews to look forward to over the weekend and next week, I hope you have a great weekend with a good book!
