So I am very excited to be writing this post, I have mentioned in a few previous posts that I have never taken part in a Bout of Books marathon. Basically the idea is to read books like a maniac for a set amount of days and see how many you can read. I found out about this back in January and was so upset with myself that I had missed it, however since then I have been looking for the next one and lucky for me it’s next month. Therefore the date is in my diary and all, I obviously will still be working that week but that will be all; working and reading is scheduled as that week’s activities.
Bout of Books #10 will be running from May the 12th until May the 18th, so add the date to your diaries and join me and many many more! There will be an array of different challenges throughout the week of the event but if you’re anything like me I will probably create me own mini challenge and just try and read like a champion.
The Bout of Books that I am hoping to take part in can be found by clicking on the button below which has been kindly created by the two Bout of Books organisers and bloggers, Amanda and Kelly.
Below is a blurb about the event and a link to the event where you can join in with me and many more book enthusiasts and bloggers.
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team.
Closer to the event I will post a list of the books I am hoping to read throughout the event and a little piece about them. I am so excited about participating in this event and I think it will be really fun for bookworms alike to challenge themselves and see how many books they can read in a set amount of days. So get the teabags and munchies in because we only have a few weeks to prepare!
