May Wrap Up and June TBR

May has allowed me to get back into the swing of things as far as reading is concerned. Back in April my reading list dropped to two books a month which really disappointed me because of my success in the previous months. So I am so happy to be back on track with lots of exciting books to keep the pages turning.

As mentioned above I had a successful reading month having read a total of 7 books. Back when I posted my May TBR I had wanted to read 8 books with the help of the Bout of Books #10. Although I never reached my intended goal I am still very happy with my efforts and excited to start into June’s list.

This month out of the 7 books I read, 5 were dystopian reads bringing my total this year so far to 13 meaning I have passed my original challenge to read between 7 and 12 dystopian books. As for the rest of my Reading Challenges, I read 1 free Kindle book called A Cold Wind Blows by Stephen Craig. This officially starts my challenge of reading the free books on my Kindle and you can access my review by clicking on the title or picture below. As for the rest of my challenges, I didn’t read any books over 450 pages long and although I am reading from my TBR pile, it continually increases each month as I still battle to cease the book-buying urges.

Below is a list of all 7 books I read this month. If you click on the Book title or picture you will be able to check out my review of the book and feel free to comment if you have a few thoughts on the book or anything I have said.

The Archived – Victoria Schwab

A Cold Wind Blows – Stephen Craig

The Maze Runner – James Dashner

Monument 14 – Emmy Laybourne

Mockingjay – Suzanne Collins

The Selection – Kiera Cass

Burial Rites – Hannah Kent

As we move swiftly into June’s TBR list I am overwhelmed with the amazing books I have lining my shelves and the amount I need to get reading. I am hoping to read around the same as last month or more, so anywhere between 7 and 10 would be a great way to continue my reading success and goodreads challenge.

I also have a few books on my list to buy next month so there will no doubt be a book haul at some point in the coming weeks as I have a few series that need finishing off that I can’t wait to get my hands on. Below is the list of books I am hoping to read next month and as usual these are open to change depending on how the month unfolds for me. Some have carried over from last month’s TBR and I am so excited to get started. If you click on the book title or picture you can find out a bit more about the book over on goodreads.

Prodigy – Marie Lu

untitled (23)

172 Hours on the Moon – Johan Harstad

untitled (25)

Uninvited – Sophie Jordan

Uninvited HC C

Cinder – Marissa Meyer

untitled (27)

Eleanor and Park – Rainbow Rowell

The Scorch Trials – James Dashner

Under the Never Sky – Veronica Rossi

From my list it looks like I’m headed on another dystopian binge so I hope everyone is happy with my choices. If you have any recommendations or any books you would like to see featured over the next few weeks feel free to leave a comment. I hope everyone has a successful reading month and makes a great start to what I’m hoping will be an amazing summer!
