Weekend Reads #25

Woo Hoo, we’re at the final hurdle for the working week, Happy Friday Everyone!
This weekend I am heading to the Holi Festival with my friends and I am so excited. Basically it is based on a Hindu festival in India where we all dance and throw coloured powder on everyone, so white clothes is a must. I can’t wait!

Well that means my entire Saturday is taken up and on Friday I am heading to a family party so I can only guess this Sunday will be spent nursing my headache. Either way I am hoping to do a bit of reading whilst drinking endless cups of tea snuggled up in my favourite pyjamas, but because I am so busy this weekend I will only be featuring one book in my Weekend Reads post.

This weekend the chosen book is If I Stay by Gayle Forman as I am hearing nothing but great things about it not to mention the new movie which will be hitting the UK screens at the end of this month. The plot of this book follows Mia, a girl with a lot of choices about her life, should she follow her passion for music, risk her relationship, or fight for love but one day whilst out with her family she is faced with a bigger decision. The family car is involved in an accident and she is left in a coma, what she decides to do next will change her life.

This book seems short but powerful, a moving and fast paced plot. I can’t wait to get started and see why this book has been featured on so many book blogs, and why it is so highly reviewed. I am slightly worried though that I have placed it high on the expectations list and I’m worried I may end up disappointing myself but I suppose there’s only one way to find out. Bite the bullet and begin on page one.

Well have a great weekend everyone and don’t forget to have fun!
