Daily Reads #25

Well readers I owe a massive apology for my lack of updates over the last week given that I had such high hopes for many reviews. Last week was so busy for me; I was at work every day and then had commitments in the evenings. Most nights I wasn’t home until after midnight so it’s fair to say I was exhausted come the weekend and had a lot of housework to catch up on. This week ahead isn’t looking as promising either however I am hoping to play catch up and fit a few updates in including the monthly wrap up at the end of the week. It’s hard to believe another month is almost over yet at least we can go out in style especially for those who enjoy Halloween.

For those that read my post last week I am very pleased to tell you all that I finally received The 5th Wave by Rick 16101128Yancey. I can’t wait to read it as I know there is now a movie in the making and a lot of positive reviews on the internet.

So as I mentioned I am planning on playing catch up this week so most of my time will be devoted to writing updates. However when I do get some reading time I will hopefully get to finish up the Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. I mentioned reading them in last week’s Daily Reads; however with being so busy last week I didn’t get as much reading done as I’d hoped. I absolutely love this series so I am really sad I haven’t had the time to devote to it, fingers crossed I get a bit of time to enjoy it this week.

I will be spending this Halloween evening at a family party for children so I am secretly hoping to be home with a few hours to spare. If I am lucky enough I hope to tuck into a spooky read on Friday evening and if I do it will probably feature in next month’s wrap up. Does anyone have any scary recommendations for Halloween night?

Have a great Halloween everyone!
