Weekend Reads #35

Happy Weekend!

Unfortunately I am working all weekend however we are having a Doctor Who themed exhibition so it should be fun and the days should fly in.

Saturday night will no doubt be spent in the pages of a good book unwinding after a long day. I am hoping to spend this weekend starting the book, Looking for Alaska by John Green. He has definitely made his way to the top of my list of favourite authors and I’m sure this is the case for many readers following The Fault in Our Stars which I read and reviewed at the start of the year. I have also read Paper Towns by John Green this year and I am very excited to see the movie adaptation which will be out in 2015.

Also for those interested in John Green or the movie adaptation of Paper Towns, he is posting regular updates on Facebook and Instagram. Recently, one of the most exciting posts was of all of the actors cast to play the characters including Q and Margo. It was great to see who would be playing some of my favourite characters and I have no doubt it will be brilliant following the success and genius of The Fault in Our Stars.

Aww great! I’m really looking forward to reading it, I expect great things from it because of Paper Towns! Do you think Looking For Alaska would be good as a movie too? 🙂

Honestly, I don’t know… I heard the movie is gonna be rated PG-13, but I hope it’s not true.. It needs to be rated R so it can be faithful to the book. I’m really excited for Paper Towns though!

I hope they don’t change it to appeal to a wider audience, I always wants movie adaptations to be as true to the book as possible so fingers crossed! I can’t wait for Paper Towns too! All the cast pictures and set pictures look perfect so far! 🙂

Exactly what I thought!! It’s going to be so good, I can’t wait to see it! I hope John Green pops up in this movie like he did in TFIOS! It’s comforting to know he takes something to do with the movies, at least we know he’s there for the decision making 🙂 it gives me hope.

Exactly what I think! TFIOS was a great book and phenomenal movie adaptation, couldn’t have been happier with how true to the book it was! 🙂
