Daily Reads #30

The last month of the year, the Christmas month and the last month to conquer any yearly reading challenges, we have all made it to December. Happy 1st of the month, it is terrifying and equally as exciting, not just because of Christmas and the beautiful twinkly lights but because a new year is just around the corner and with it brings new beginnings.

In this Daily Reads I am only going to mention one book I plan on starting this week as I will be posting my November Wrap Up and December TBR this week too. So you can check out all the books I hope to get around to this month when that is uploaded.

This month I am finally going to read a book that has been on my ‘buy’ list for months. I spotted it online as an eBook and in a sale so I finally splurged and bought it. This book has had my attention since I first spotted it on booktube and as soon as I heard it was being made into a movie.

The book I want to focus on this week is The Giver by Lois Lowry. It is set in a world with no war, pain or disarray. Jonas has nothing to fear until he is chosen by The Giver to know the truth. The Giver takes him under his wing and shows him the past and the real pain and memories of a life long forgotten.

I have never heard of anything like this and therefore cannot wait to delve into this unusual world. I think I need a good dystopian styled book to throw me back into one of my favourite genres. I also need to wrap up some books as I am halfway through so many. So it looks like there’s a busy week and month ahead of me to catch up on my reading before the beginning of a new year.

Have a great week!
