Daily Reads #33

I’m stuck in the slump of Christmas Blues, it can only mean I am back to work and feeling that frown inducing vibe that runs between Christmas and New Year’s. It’s like living in Limbo, what are we supposed to do? Is it too early to take down the Christmas Tree? Should I really be back at work or still partying with the family and when is the right time to put away the Christmas presents without people thinking you you’re hiding them?

Anyway this week seems crazy to me when you really start to think it through, we are starting off in 2014 and by the end of the week it will be a brand new year, 2015. Time to dump all the crap of 2014 behind us now and move on, in my case I had a pretty good year so I don’t want to forget it instead I want to make sure I have an even better 2015 and accomplish even more than I did in 2014.

Unfortunately I didn’t get round to reading all the books I’d hoped to in December as it was just a crazy month. All my plans seemed to go down the drain after I got engaged, and I ended up living in a blurry state of mind for a few days trying to make sense of what was happening.

So this week I want to finish up a few books I have been reading this past while so I don’t go into the New Year with just as much unfinished reading as I could do. Below are the books I will be concentrating on this week, so fingers crossed I get them finished.

The Giver – Lois Lowry

Jenny Lopez Has a Bad Week – Lindsey Kelk

Looking For Alaska – John Green

untitled (18)

I hope everyone has an amazing New Year’s Eve, I know I can’t wait to spend mine with munchies, a glass of wine and a few great movies.

Happy New Year!
