December Wrap Up and Janaury TBR

untitled (46)

Well it is the very long awaited wrap up for the month of December, there have been so many posts that needed to go up those first two weeks that it was hard to squeeze it in or find the time to write it but here goes. December wasn’t a great month for reading for me because I had an immense amount of work to do on top of the usual Christmas rush. Nevertheless I managed to read 5 books, all pretty amazing by my standards and all which I would highly recommend. Below are the books I read in December and if you want to find out more about them all you have to do is click on the book title or cover to read my full review.

Let It Snow – John Green, Maureen Johnston and Lauren Myracle

Jenny Lopez Saves Christmas – Lindsey Kelk

Jenny Lopez Has a Bad Week – Lindsey Kelk

The Giver – Lois Lowry

Looking For Alaska – John Green

Now we are into the New Year and new reading challenges so I have to up my game and start of strong this month. To motivate myself I have also created a TBR Jar to help with the difficult decisions about what to read each month. This will also help me to downsize the ever-growing piles of books in my house before I buy more. As this is a later post I will be putting down the books that I have already picked from the TBR Jar to read this month whilst adding a few more of my choice.

The Cuckoo’s Calling – Robert Galbraith

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close – Jonathan Safran Foer

Vampire Academy – Richelle Mead

The Tao of Pooh – Benjamin Hoff

Prodigy – Marie Lu

untitled (23)

Maus 1: A Survivors Tale – Art Spiegelman

Maus 2: And Here My Troubles Began – Art Spiegelman

Sex and the City – Candace Bushnell

I understand this is a very ambitious list of books for January but I need to puch myself for a great start to the year. I hope you have a very successful reading month and if you have read these books let me know what you thought of them below.
