Weekend Reads #71

Happy Friday Readers,

For some reason I definitely have that Friday feeling today and I can’t help but watch the clock for 5pm. I’m not doing anything special tonight but I am just looking forward to a bit of rest and relaxation. I am busy tomorrow as it’s my mum’s birthday next week so we have decided to celebrate in advance, however I’m torn in two as the 24 hour readathon is tomorrow and I’m not going to be able to take part. In place of participating completely I am going to try my best to read as much as I can the entire weekend when I am not doing something else and see if I can personally challenge myself. The Last Librarian

Aristotle and Dante

So tonight I reckon I will finish reading Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. This book is really good and I just don’t want to put it down. I am literally reading it until my eyes close every night, I am completely hooked. As I will be finishing this book I am hoping to also finish The Last Librarian by Brandt Legg and again this is a book I have had trouble setting down. It’s been a real struggle to choose between these two books when I have had a chance to read this week so I’m hoping to dedicate some time to finishing them.

The Miniaturist

As I’m hoping to wrap up the two books above this weekend, I also want to start reading The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. I am not entirely sure what this book is about as I haven’t read the blurb or heard much about it but it seems to be the story of a couple and a doll’s house plays a part in it. I could be completely wrong or have the wrong book but I think that’s right…if anyone has read it, it would be great to hear what you thought of it.

Well readers I hope you have a fantastic weekend, I have a good feeling about the next two days, let’s hope they’re good.
