Daily Reads #77

Hello readers,

Back at it today and in work, I have a lot to read this week and I am really looking forward to some time with my books. I had an amazing weekend out celebrating my mums birthday and managed to finish reading Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. I really enjoyed that book and want to check out some more work by this author. I didn’t realise he had such an extensive collection of books until I checked out his profile on goodreads so I will have plenty of choice when picking another piece of his work.

This week I want to focus on reading The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton, I said in my previous post that I’m not entirely sure what this plot entails, however I am really intrigued by this book. I’m looking forward to sitting down and spending a few hours in the first few chapters.

As well as this I want to start reading Alfheim by Gary Nilsen, it’s a book available on kindle and it attracted me with it’s fantasy elements mixed in with the life of an ordinary teenager. Again I don’t know much about this book other than Timothy, the main character is leading a miserable life and just when he is about to end it, he is introduced to a fairy who helps him to see his life is important especially in their world.

I haven’t read a book with fairies and a magical world in so long and I’m hoping this book will help me dip my toes back into a genre I really used to enjoy.

Finally, as per usual I can never read just one book…or as of recently just two as I am also finishing The Last Librarian by Brandt Legg. As I expected this plot is gripping and exciting, it didn’t take long to have me hooked. With references to characters in Cosega Search, a book I refused to put down it follows on from that exciting plot and what finally happened with the artefact.

I mentioned above I am really looking forward to reading this week, even typing this makes me want to stop everything and pick up my books. I am determined to finish off April with a good list of books ticked off my TBR so hopefully I can start fresh with a new list for May.

Keep on reading!
