It’s been a tough few days getting back to work after being off for an entire week and doing lots of amazing things. I’m finding it hard getting out of holiday mode and getting my head back in the game, I’m already too busy thinking about my next day off.
So far this week I haven’t had much of a chance to read but I have been continuing on with my reading pile and admiring all my new books. Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige is actually really funny because it has created an Oz that I would never have imagined and amongst it is a teenage girl with a whole lot of attitude and sarcaam. I am really enjoying it and the twist in the characters.
As well as this I am on the final pages of Angels and Demons by Dan Brown and part of me is dying to get to thw end and the other half is savouring every last word. I’m already excited to pick up Deception Point or Digital Fortress after this and at the same time I don’t want to leave Robert Langdon so I might have to order The Lost Symbol online.
I an a few pages into Scarlet by Marissa Meyer as well but I haven’t had as much time to devote to this book just yet but I am trying to make the most of the next week. I can’t believe we are so close to the end of August and just two weeks away from the end of Summer. In work Summer signifies a busy period with lots of visitors and constant running around and it feels like it has flown in and we’re so close to the last hurdle.
With every passing week we’re also counting down to the wedding and I’m already thinking about what books to take on the flight with me and which ones to enjoy by the pool. For now though I’m gonna head to bed and see of Professor Langdon has solved the mystery…
