Happy Monday Readers,
Pour the coffee, snuggle into the sofa and prepare for a 2 minute read, it’s my 100th Daily Reads.
This week I have quite a lot to achieve and as per usual I can never commit to one book at a time. Now that I am back to work my list of tasks to accomplish keeps getting bigger and my spare time keeps getting less and less. I have however made some personal New Years resolutions to stop being weighed down by work and making sure there is time to do the things that matter to me. It is so important to have personal time and hobbies, striking that line between work and life.
This week I will be focusing on the 6 books I am reading at the minute, I know this is a crazy amount to be reading but sometimes I just can’t help myself. I talked in my Weekend Reads #84 post about starting to listen to audiobooks while driving and so far I am really enjoying it. Beauty Queens by Libba Bray is a hilarious read and I’m finding myself laughing out loud while listening to it, which is all well and good while driving, not so good when walking. Recommendations for audiobooks are very welcome as this is a new world to me.
I also started reading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes over the weekend. A friend of mine recommended it to me last year and I never got round to reading it. I managed to get a copy from the library and started it immediately, already I love the main character Louisa who is just so unique and funny and I can see myself flying through this book. I am a little hesitant because I know this book is sad in parts and that people found it very emotional so already my guard is up and I am a little worried about what lies ahead.
On top of the above mentioned reads I still have a pretty extensive TBR to get through so I am hoping to finish some up over the next few days. I have some reviews going up midweek and reading goals and challenges so don’t forget to check in. I can’t help but still scan my bookcase and all the new editions from Christmas, it is so hard to stay away. Does anyone else have this issue? I just want to pick them all up and start reading them! #firstworldreadingproblems
